THE FILLMORE MIAMI BEACH AT THE JACKIE GLEASON THEATRE
In 2012, Brandon Barry, General Manager of the Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theatre, approached, Diana Lozano from CircX about entertainment for the theatres' industry showcase.
Looking to highlight the Fillmore, not only as a theatre but also as a venue capable of hosting a variety of events, CircX was the obvious choice.
Having come from a cultural arts background in addition to being a staple in the local South Florida nightlife and the event entertainment industry, Mr Barry knew CircX would produce the edgy yet sophisticated spectacular to showcase The Fillmore.
Having been 10 years since the company's inception, Diana Lozano, creative director for CircX, thought it would be a great excuse to do a retro-spectacle showcase.
The show was a 3 Hour full-length evening that featured highlights from CircX's past decade of performances. From the seediest underground nightclubs to the most sophisticated exhibition venues, CircX resurrected a variety of performances from their so far 10-year journey.
The night featured, aerial artistry, drag performance, interactive audience participation, avant-garde performance art, and choreographed dance and circus spectaculars with the over 30-person cast.
It was a star-studded cast featuring South Florida's artistic visionaries including, Octavio Campos, Natasha Tsakos, Luckner Bruno, Rosie Herrera, and Rudi Goblin.
